Reverie | Butterfly Candle Holder | Brass

Inspired by our Reverie collection, this 1.5" high Butterfly candle holder is a new addition to the Vertu Collectibles. Crafted in solid brass, the base features a butterfly—a symbol of an inextinguishable soul that is always drawn towards the light.

I believe that lighting candles for dinner sets a tone. Dinner with candlelight creates an atmosphere that is unhurried and encourages conversation. It should not be reserved for special occasions.

Our brass candleholders are finished to a high shine, but have not been coated to prevent tarnishing. Tarnishing is a natural reaction that happens when certain metals are exposed to the air over time. We intentionally chose not to apply a clear coating, because we appreciate the natural aging of brass, as it adds a lovely authenticity to these pieces. The degree of tarnish on each candleholder will differ depending on how much time has passed, and on the moisture levels in the air. If you wish, you can clean the brass and restore its original luster by using lemon and baking soda or a metal cleaning solution.
