Due to its porosity, it should not be exposed to harsh chemicals, cosmetics, or oils, which can cause discoloration over time. For regular care, wipe the turquoise with a soft, clean cloth from time to time.
When storing turquoise jewelry, the piece should be kept in a soft cotton pouch or lined jewelry box to prevent it from being scratched by other pieces.
Turquoise should not be worn during physical activities, cooking, or cleaning. It can fracture if impacted.
When cleaning turquoise, it should be wiped with mild soap and water on a damp cloth and wiped dry immediately. Turquoise should not be soaked, and it should not be cleaned with an ultrasonic steamer.
